South Beaches in Sri Lanka

A perky fishing village with a sandy stretch of beach and low riding waves, Weligama has become an upcoming attraction for surfing and tourism. A lush tropical paradise – Tangalle is the furthest beach destination along the south coast. Due to its isolation, Tangalle has two beach landscapes that serve both high end and budget travellers. The west has magnificent bays and coves between rocky headlands with upmarket hotels and villas. The east has long sandy beaches and mangrove lined lagoons with cheaper accommodation. Tangalle is amazing for its deep blue waters which are picture perfect.
