Upon landing be greeted and escort you to your vehicle. Take a domestic seaplane to Hatton and travel by road another 30 minutes to 1 hour to reach your Ceylon Tea Trails bungalow. The luxury colonial plantation resort comprises of five restored colonial era tea planter residences (Norwood, Tientsin, Castlereagh, Summerville, Dunkeld) located mainly around the Castlereagh reservoir but in varying proximities to Hatton. If doing nothing is your calling simply lounge in plush living rooms and sitting areas reading a book, or sit at an old wooden desks to write postcards with real stamps, or stroll along wide verandas to simply gaze in to the surrounding woodlands, plantations, lakes and birdlife. A day to test your luck on spotting Leopard; your chance for having an “eye to eye” experience with a spotted wild cat, bear, elephant or other. Proceed on a safari with a packed breakfast from the hotel well before dawn. The park is rich in bio-diversity; 44 species of mammals, 215 species of birds and 46 species of reptiles are resident in it. Of the mammals, Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan Sloth Bear, Sri Lankan Leopard, Wild water buffalo are popular species to spot. Fishing Cat, Golden Palm Civet, Red Slender Loris, Toque Macaque are some of the other mammals that can be seen in the park.
Of the birds, six species are endemic to Sri Lanka. They are Sri Lanka Hornbill, Sri Lanka Junglefowl, Sri Lanka Wood-pigeon, Crimson-fronted Barbet, Black-capped Bulbul, and Brown-capped Babbler. The park is also resident to about 90 species of migratory birds.
Lunch, back at the hotel, and return in the Afternoon by 1500 HRS to visit the Yala National Park to continue your safari and enjoy the evening ambience of the park.

After breakfast you will drive to Galle, a popular coastal destination located in the southern part of the island and stay within its crown jewel, the Galle Fort itself. Built in the 16th century, the Galle Fort is a quaint time-capsule city, with cobblestone streets, restaurants, cafes, boutiques and a magnificent rampart offering amazing vistas of the Indian Ocean. Explore the pride of the south, a UNESCO World Heritage Site at leisure and by foot; a fusion of Colonial architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
Enjoy High Tea after you check in to Amangalla, one of Aman’s two gems in Sri Lanka. On your last day in Sri Lanka you will stay on Bed & Breakfast in order to have the flexibility to try the many dining options available within the Galle Fort.
