Overview

The Ambewella farms consist of two farms, Ambewella farm and New Zealand Farm. Since it is gifted with chilly climate and clean environment, it is home to exceptional breeds of cattle that graze freely on high quality pastures. The farms are equipped with modern technology and have been established with international standards in a local setting which facilitates fine quality production of milk and milk products.
The Ambewella Farm has Ayrshire cattle and the New Zealand Farm has Friesian cows. These thoroughbred cows need special attention in order to maintain standards of the quality of the milk. Therefore the management of the farm takes great effort in ensuring the cattle are given a balanced diet with sterilized drinking water to prevent any disease and infection. They are also given great healthcare with resident veterinary surgeons on base for 24 hour care to the cattle.
Milk products produced by the farm are yoghurt and cheese. Other than cattle, the farm also rears rabbits, pigs and goats and also cultivation of different vegetables.
However a visit to the Ambewella Farm and the New Zealand Farm would be great especially for children.
