From the popular chain of hotels, Shangri-La is lavish; five star hotel that is exquisitely decorated with an air of class and desired taste.

The Shangri-La hotel is located on the southern part of the country and is a four hour drive from Colombo via the expressway highway. It has been around only for a short period yet it is already very popular amongst the locals and foreigners alike – which says a lot. The hotel spans over 58 acres and is the largest resort in the country with 300 rooms. It is a child-friendly hotel as they have a swimming pool just for them, with slides and a mini playground, too. A game room is also equipped with a DVD player and a flat screen TV, a play station as well. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire premises, and there are four restaurants that offer international cuisines and local cuisines, too. The 18- hole golf course is spread across an expansive coconut plantation dedicated to guests who wish to participate. How to Get There

The hotel has a transfer desk that can provide transfer facilities to the airport at a cost

You may pre-arrange an Epic Sri Lanka Holidays chauffeur facility for your arrival and departure transfers to and from the airport or to and from any point in the country. From the Bandaranaike International airport, it will take you approximately 4 hours, 33 minutes by road to travel 261 km distance to the hotel. If you do utilize the Epic Sri Lanka Holidays Chauffeur facility you may also request to retain the chauffeur throughout your stay in Sri Lanka at an attractive cost.

Alternatively, for a quicker transfer, you may request Epic Sri Lanka Holidays to arrange combined air and road transfers. Approximately 45 minutes scheduled domestic flights are available from the Colombo airport to Hambantota.
