This hotel is located in the east coastline and it takes around nearly a 7.45 hour drive to the hotel from the Bandaranaike International Airport.

Built on the sandy beach, surrounded and cooled by coconut and neem trees around, Arugambay Roccos is a contemporary designed hotel inviting guests to enjoy the beach vibes. Inspired by the cubic shape this hotel offers 22 white coloured, air-conditioned cubes overlooking the pool, garden and the beautiful Indian Ocean from the South Eastern shoreline. Offering beautiful scenic views of the sea these rooms are known as cubes and these cubes are equipped with modern amenities, a verandah and also a private balcony equipped with deck chairs. This hotel features two restaurants namely the Square and the Space. The Square is the hotel restaurant serving cuisine inspired by the local and international flavors and also having a transparent action station where guests are able to see and engage in cooking activities. Giving a romantic ambience, The Space is an open-air lounge designed to dine in while enjoying the warm breeze in the open area and also having the option of enjoying shisha. The Arugambay surfing point is just a short walk away from the property.

How to Get There

The hotel has a transfer desk that can provide transfer facilities to the airport at a cost.

You may pre-arrange an Epic Sri Lanka Holidays chauffeur facility for your arrival and departure transfers to and from the airport or to and from any point in the country. From the Bandaranaike International airport, it will take you approximately 8 hours by road to travel 341 km distance to the hotel. If you do utilize the Epic Sri Lanka Holidays Chauffeur facility you may also request to retain the chauffer throughout your stay in Sri Lanka at an attractive cost.

Alternatively, for a quicker transfer, you may request Epic Sri Lanka Holidays to arrange combined air and road transfers. Approx 1.15 hours scheduled domestic flights are available from the Bandaranaike International airport and from Colombo Waters edge to Batticaloa. Thereafter it is 2.5 hours transfer by road from Batticaloa to Arugambay Roccos.

We are also able to arrange for you exclusive private helicopter transfers (up to 4 passengers at a time) from any point in the country directly to your hotel or nearest helipad.

Daily trains are available starting from approx. 6 am in the morning from Colombo fort running along cultural triangle. The train ride takes approx. 9 hours to reach Batticaloa station. Only 2nd and 3rd class seat options are available and travelers who prefer a rustic but scenic experience may opt for this.
